Scotland: Armstrong, Fraser and Cairney called up by Scotland

In-form Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong has been called up to the Scotland squad by Gordon Strachan for the games against Canada and Slovenia.

Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser, Tom Cairney of Fulham and West Brom's Matt Phillips have also been selected.

It is the first time Armstrong, Fraser and Cairney have been called up for Scotland.

There is a recall for Hull goalkeeper Allan McGregor, who has impressed while on loan at Cardiff.

Celtic captain Scott Brown, who reversed his decision to retire from international football last year, is also included.

Scotland face Canada in a friendly match on 22 March and Slovenia in a World Cup qualifier on 26 March.
