GEORGE and Amal Clooney's friends and family continue to do the confirming for them when it comes to their growing family. Following close friend Matt Damon's comments last week (which confirmed the couple are expecting twins this summer), George's mother, Nina, quietly revealed earlier this week that her son and daughter-in-law are having a boy and a girl.
“It will be one of each! Yes, a boy and a girl. That’s what I’ve been told,” she told Radar Online. “How marvellous! My husband and I are extremely excited.” She stopped short, however of speculating any names for the children, saying only: “That is George and Amal’s department."
While news only officially broke last week about Amal's pregnancy, close friends of the couple were aware for some time and kept quiet as the rumours circulated. Last week, Cindy Crawford - who, along with her husband Rande Gerber, is a mutual friend of the pair - revealed that she was happy she didn't have to keep the secret any longer.
"Oh, so it's actually been confirmed. Thank heavens! I had to keep that in for months," she told The Today Show, reported the Daily Mail, although added that she would still be keeping certain thoughts to herself. "My mother's best advice to us was don't give advice unless someone asks for it. I would never volunteer advice. If someone asks me I would tell them, but I'm not the person just like, 'Oh, here's what you should do.'"
