The Best Looks from Prada’s Fall 2017 Runway Show

Moody music (think organs and spooky deep voices), an abstract, difficult to decipher set (were those all mini bedrooms?) and a mish mash of mixed clothing messages paraded down the runway today at Prada. It was Miuccia at her best.

In line with the feeling of individuality and anything goes that’s permeating fashion right now, were pearl crusted shoes, kooky colour combos, furry bags and belts, boxy printed jackets and Fraggle Rock-like (according to our Director, Lesa Hannah) bonnets. There were bra tops paired with Prada’s signature skirts, a red dress with flouncy hem that was a dead ringer for the dancing emoji, but most shocking of all was the return of pants on the runway (even Miuccia took her bow in a chocolate pair).

The most directional footwear was flat and came in over-the-knee leather styles in earthy shades, as well as fully fuzzed out knee boots and moccasins that we’ll be happy to have come next winter’s deep freeze.

Click through the gallery below for our 10 favourite looks (it was like choosing children) from the show.
