There were some MAJOR looks at this year's Met Gala and some great trends - here are my top 5:
One of my favourite makeup artists Hung Vanngo gave Selena fuchsia pink lids – for me the stand out Beauty statement of the evening. Pink is notoriously tough to carry off on eyes, but here it looks pretty as the colour is concentrated on top lids. He used Beauty Matte Highliner in Popular and Style Eye-Con N07 Palette, both by Marc Jacobs Beauty.
Hung Vanngo yet again proved his skill of using colour – here a turquoise liner (Marc Jacobs Beauty Matte Highliner in Whirlpool and Overnight blended together) along top lashes paired with a gold liner (Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner in Sunset) along the bottom lashes.
I love this edgy look on Lily, courtesy of makeup artist Fiona Stiles. Spiky, fanned out lashes and a precisely painted deep burgundy lip using Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in 397 Berry Noir created a modern nod to 20’s beauty.
I always look forward to Lupita’s red carpet looks – she is the queen of playful makeup. Here makeup artist Nick Barose used a rainbow palette of shimmery shadows (Lancome Eye Color Design Eye Shadows in All that Shimmers, Exhibition, Miss Sweetheart, A Touch of Coral and Sapphire Lace,) all over her lids and kept the rest of the face fresh and glowy.
How gorgeous and wearable is this chic, yet youthful look created by makeup artist Kate Lee? She paired a graphic cat eye, with a shimmery pale pink lid using Caligraphie De Chanel in Hyperblack and Ombre Premiere in 22 Visone, both by Chanel.
