EMMA WATSON is a savvy social-media user. Not only does she use it to drum up followers of her book club and her work on the gender-equality initiative He For She (in her capacity as a UN global goodwill ambassador), just last week she was seen on an iPad in Grand Central Station New York - in the capable hands of Derek Blasberg - offering commuters advice for $2 as a part of an unknown project. Now, she has turned to the medium to keep her fans up to date with every look from her promotional tour for and the Beast by launching a dedicated account, The Press Tour.

The actress has already posted three images to the account, which is clearly intended to raise awareness of the sustainability of her tour wardrobe. In her first post, she wore a Stella McCartney coat and highlighted the designer's ethical approach. "Coat is from @stellamccartney, the world's first luxury brand that is committed to producing products that do not use leather, skins, feathers or fur," she informed. "Instead, Stella has spent years developing ways of using materials such as regenerated cashmere, recycled fabrics, organic cotton and forest-friendly fabrics."

While Watson is the first high-profile star to create an account solely intended for her red-carpet choices, she's not the first celebrity to take control of the coverage that comes with global fame. Over the weekend, David Beckham shared multiple images of his family skiing holiday in Whistler, Canada, telling his followers: "Don't usually post so many but it's so beautiful up here, plus having a special time so before anyone else sells pictures of the family I wanted you guys to see them first."
