Harry Styles (and a selection of baby farm animals) star in Gucci’s newest campaign
Casting a heartthrob of Harry Styles’ calibre was already enough to ensure that Gucci got plenty of attention for their new campaign, but throw some super cute animals into the mix and you’ve got the ultimate recipe for going viral. Styles looks practically angelic in the images, cuddling tiny lambs, and posing with a posse of piglets. The singer and actor wore a selection of print-heavy looks from Gucci’s Cruise 2019 collection for the campaign, which was shot on site at an ethereal villa in North Italy. There’s a lot going on in these images and somehow, photographer Glen Luchford makes it all work beautifully. (ELLE)
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is returning to New York City
In 1995. the very first VS Fashion Show took place at the Plaza Hotel in NYC and since then, it’s had stints in Los Angeles, Miami Beach, Paris and a disastrous turn in Shanghai. In fact, we’ve become accustomed to seeing the annual Instagram pics featuring the angels lined up in front of their private plane. But after may seasons abroad, the show is finally returning home. The brand made the announcement through a series of posts on social media that showed the models–fluffy angel wings in-hand–stepping out of subway stations, sweeping through Grand Central and even hailing yellow cabs. Whatever the reason for their return, we hope Victoria’s Secret will pull out all the stops for their big homecoming. (WWD)
Michael B. Jordan is the first-ever face of Coach Men’s
Aside from being the winner of every Best Smile competition (wink wink), Michael B. Jordan is now also the very first global ambassador of Coach Men’s. “I’m honoured to be joining the Coach family and have so much respect for Stuart Vevers’ vision,” he said in a brand statement. The initial imagery features the actor goofing around and laughing in one of Coach’s signature monogrammed hoodies. “With any creative endeavour, it’s all about finding the right fit,” he posted to Instagram yesterday and we couldn’t agree more, these two fit just right. Nicki Minaj makes a statement at the debut of her capsule collection with Diesel
There’s been a lot of rap beef lately, particularly when it comes to Nicki Minaj. From blaming Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott for her underperforming album sales to the “shoe incident” with Cardi B at NYFW, Minaj’s name has been in the media a lot lately. But her new capsule collection with Diesel seems to embrace that drama, with Minaj calling the line, THE BAD GUY. “You need people like me,” she posted on Instagram earlier this week during the announcement. “So you can point your finger & say: THAT’S THE BAD GUY!!” The statement is actually taken from the lyrics of Minaj’s popular song Chun-Li. It seems like she’s pulling a full T-Swift Look What You Made Me Do moment and just making fun of (and cashing in on) her tabloid persona. The collection coincides with Diesel’s “Hate Couture” campaign. WWD reports that Diesel founder Renzo Rosso said that the campaign was a “bold message toward haters worldwide–and an invitation for everyone to step up, face and own negative messages we receive every day.” (WWD)Photography via Instagram/gucci
