Hailey Baldwin’s Evolution: From Fresh-Faced Pre-Teen to Blonde Bombshell

Hailey Baldwin Beauty Evolution

By Madelyn Chung

Date July 11, 2018

Hailey Baldwin has all the makings of an It-girl: a famous last name, A-list love interests (Justin Bieber and possibly Drake) and a killer ‘gram game (hey, she doesn’t have 10.5 million followers for nothing). And a big part of that really great ‘gram game is the 20-year-old model showcasing her ever-changing looks, because we all know how much we love tracking the latest celeb hair changes and makeup looks.

Here’s the thing with Hailey — she doesn’t really have a signature look (aside from her envy-inducing highlight, of course). Our October 2017 cover girl can virtually rock any hair and makeup look, which is both impressive and kind of infuriating at the same time (don’t worry, we love you for it, Hails). Whether it’s dark strands and thin brows to ultra dewy skin and our personal fave, her blonde lob, Baldwin is a total Betty, no matter what beauty look she sports.

Below, see Hailey’s beauty evolution, from cutesy eight-year-old to full on blonde bombshell.

2004: How adorable is eight-year-old Hailey? Here she is at a Shrek 2 screening with dad, Stephen Baldwin, and older sister, Alia Baldwin.

2008: Eleven-year-old Hails is just like any other pre-teen here, at least with her hair and makeup. A little lip gloss, blue eyeshadow (to match her dress, of course), some blush and a headband to keep her hair back and voila! The beauty look of our pre-teen years.

2009: Twelve-year-old Hailey had some wispy bangs… a style we would later see in her older years.

2010: At the 2010 ESPY Awards, Hailey adopted a very California girl aesthetic: tan skin, blonde hair and subtle bronzed makeup. Also, check the eyebrows! Much thinner than they are now.

2011: Welcome to the teen years. Gone is the blonde hair and instead, a darker ‘do. Also, this was that fateful night Hails met (future love interest) Justin Bieber for the first time.

2011: Goodbye dark hair, hello copper blonde! Hailey returned to her natural-ish colour adding some face-framing layers.

2011: Here, Hailey had a little more fun with her makeup, though, it was for a fashion show.

2013: The first time we see Hailey experiment with a more bold lip — and we love it. We’re also digging the monochromatic vibe.

2014: At the 2014 Daily Front Row Awards, Hails sported a much more warm blonde hue on her tresses. Her brows are noticeably thicker, and her skin is glowing.

2015: Hailey went back to the dark side for the 2015 Met Gala and ditched the fresh-faced glow for a more matte look.

2015: The dew is back, as are the lighter tresses. We’re also really into this matte red lip.

2015: The hair changes keep coming! This time around, Hailey brings back the wispy bangs. Her plump pout is also accented by a matte pink lipstick.

2015: Hailey went full on rock chick for the 2015 MTV EMAs with a dramatic smokey eye and neutral lips.

2016: One of our fave Hailey looks to date — long bangs, a twisted top knot and a makeup look fit for a golden goddess.

2016: Hailey nails the all-American girl look with long, blonde waves and a simple cat eye.

2016: Though Hailey can pretty much rock any hairstyle, our fave on the model is the textured lob. Seriously, how hot does she look with the shorter chop?

2016: Like we said, Hails can rock any ‘do. Even pink hair.

2017: Here, Hailey experiments with the wet look, and looks laidback glam with bronzed shadow and a coppery, brown lip.

2017: For the 2017 Met Gala, Hailey served full on princess vibes with a chic bun accented by a sparkly veil.

2017: We’ve talked about Hailey’s killer highlight in the past, and to this day, it’s still going strong. Plus, she clearly knows how to show it off well — with a ultra-high pony!

2017: Blonde bombshell. ‘Nuff said.
