New The Girl in The Spider's Web movie gets everyone talking

Enthusiastic fan of Jilly Cooper, books, horses and singing. Not a made-up person.

She's baaaaack! Everybody's favourite ridiculously intelligent computer hacker and all-round badass, Lisbeth Salander, will grace the big screen again, in the film adaptation of The Girl in the Spider's Web.

Lisbeth Salander came to fame in Stieg Larsson's wildly popular Millennium Trilogy books. He died before his series achieved global success, and a sequel written by David Lagercrantz was published last year.

The first three books were made into films in Larsson's native Sweden, starring Noomi Rapace as Salander, and then remade in the US by David Fincher, starring Rooney Mara.

Spider's Web will completely reboot the series with a new cast, and Fede Alvarez, who directed the remake of The Evil Dead, at the helm.

He said: "Lisbeth Salander is the kind of character any director dreams of bringing to life. We’ve got a great script and now comes the most fun part – finding our Lisbeth.”

Oooh yes, great shout – who would you cast?
