Cara shared how she hopes that her debut book, available for pre-order now, will encourage conversation about the trials and tribulations of navigating life as a teenager. "Let's start one big virtual book club!" Cara wrote. "'Cause I want us to talk about this time in life, self discovery, friendship, pain, triumph! Being a teenager! The experiences that shape you!"
Cara's book is set to hit shelves on October 5, and while the author hasn't revealed that much about the plot. Amazon have been more revealing.
"Life isn't perfect, but they're united by their love of music and excited about what the future holds for their band," the blurb reads of the four friends. "That is until Naima dies in tragic circumstances, leaving behind only one word. 'Sorry'. What awful truth was she hiding? What dark secret was lurking behind her seemingly sunny persona? And how did Red, the self-styled protector of the group, fail to spot the warning signs?"
Of what we know of the story so far, this reads like the perfect YA novel that will no doubt catapult Cara to best-seller level.
