The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have said that the two accountants who were in charge of envelopes at the Oscars won't work again.
Obviously this follows that major Sunday night f*ck up. You know, that time when La La Land were awarded Best Picture when in fact Moonlight won (still can't cope).
The two PWC partners, Brian Cullinan and Martha L. Ruiz, are in charge of sorting envelopes. They both travel to the awards separately each carrying a case of envelopes (two sets, incase of mixup... lol) with the results in them. Before the ceremony, they are the only two people that know who the winners are.
Cullinan was the man that handed the Best Picture presenters, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, the wrong envelope. Now neither Cullinan or Ruiz will continue working for the Oscars despite PWC being the official Academy Awards vote counters for 83 years. 83 years! Ouch.
