A family GP who has acted in The Archers for over thirty years can finally be open with his patients about his moonlighting after he retired this week.

Dr Graham Blockey avoided telling his patients about his role as Lynda Snell’s husband Robert Snell in the Radio 4 soap for the 24 years he worked at his Dorking surgery.

He told Radio 4's Today that people build an image of a radio character and can be "disappointed" when they find out who it is.
